The Beginning

It was a God defining moment.  An American missionary, Brent Baird, and a seasoned Haitian pastor, Pierrot Avenant, along with their wives met together to seek God’s continued will for their life purpose.  Already close friends, Brent and Pastor Avenant would emerge from that meeting as an inseparable team yoked together in kingdom service.  Their “visions of hope” would become known as New Hope Missions International, Inc.

A Dark Shadow

Documented in history, a satanic shadow of black magic and voodoo had been cast across the land of Haiti over two hundred years ago.  To obtain their freedom from France and the crazed emperor, Napoleon, the Haitians made a deal with the devil.  “Give us our freedom.  We will give you our land.”  Deeded to Satan, the country won its freedom but lost its aesthetic beauty and soul.

Beachheads of Faith

Realizing that his people were dying and passing into eternity without a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, Pierrot asked God for a spirit of repentance,  revival, restoration, and renewal to flood the hearts and souls of his countrymen.  “Beachheads of Faith” were established in satanic dominated territory.
  • Location: Limonade. Community of 50,000 people. Church/school established: 1990.
  • Location: Biley. Voodoo-ridden town, home of witch doctors. Church/school established: 1991.
  • Location: Milot. Urban village. Beginning as child evangelism outreach. Church/school: 1993.
  • Location: Bas Aviation. Inner city poverty stricken area. Church/school established: 2005.
  • Location: Barriere Battant. Outstation facility that was viewed by the Haitians as being under a voodoo curse. “Miracle” Church established: 2010.
  • Location: Chaffrey. Outstation facility in mountainous region located in an area heavily dominated by voodoo. Church established: 2017.
  • Location: Cima. Outstation facility where the orphan population was the greatest percentage as the effect of famine plagued the area, and parents chose to feed the children. Church established: 2020.

Mission Partnership

For over 30 years, the ministry has been sustained by the faithful prayers and sacrificial donations of God’s people.  Partnering together in the harvest fields of Haiti, together we have experienced His miraculous hand of blessing and divine favor.
