Healing Hands

“And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.”   Matthew 4:23

It has been a great source of blessing to hundreds of children in the NHMI schools this year to have Sadira Valmyr working as a traveling school nurse.  Each month she visits all four church/school  locations to examine children with health issues and administer standard medications for cuts and sores, headaches, fever, stomach upsets, and intestinal parasites.  She also distributes vitamins provided by a mission medical team to about 900 children within the NHMI school system.   As a born again Christian with a radiant smile and a God given compassion for children, the love and kindness of Jesus Christ follows her wherever she goes. What a blessing it has been to us as she has become a “hero” to the school children … a role model.  As progress reports of the sponsored children were returned to us, the question had been asked, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”  The answer most frequent was, “I want to be a nurse and help the children to feel better.”
